Making Space for Food

Students will be calculating the amount of land needed to grow/raise 100g of protein. They’ll then measure out the actual area required based on their calculations and answer relevant questions.

  • Ability to create physical rectangular shapes given an area
  • Practice with square roots and area
  • Understanding of the difference in area used by different foods
