Olympiad 2021

2021 was the first year the Olympiad was conducted to engage thousands of students from across the globe.

We aimed for 10,000 participants and reached more than 12,500 from 149 countries.

We partnered up with hundreds of NGOs, schools, universities, youth groups from across the world to bring the CS Olympiad to their community and students. The government of the Philippines also extended their support and encouraged their schools network to take part in the competition.

"The CSO is an unrivalled opportunity to develop your environmental knowledge and meet people with similar interests. It asks you to think beyond the traditional curriculum and gives you a glimpse into the decisions world leaders have to make about the climate. The CSO will stretch your environmental knowledge and enable you to become a better essay writer and scientist."

"Winning the ClimateScience Olympiad was so exciting. We thank ClimateScience for the opportunity and for the amazing community that was created out of the competition. My advice to anyone applying in 2022 would be to make sure you answer the questions precisely and, most importantly, have fun!"
